The BMRI hosted the 2013 William D. Stubenbord Visiting Professor Lecture on June 24, 2013. The Stubenbord Lecture is one of the most prestigious lectures at Weill-Cornell and is given in memory and honor of a former Cornell physician, Dr. William D. Stubenbord.
The lecture was given by Dr. Karel Svoboda, Group Leader, Janelia Farm Research Campus, and Howard Hughes Medical Scholar. His lecture was entitled, "The Neural Circuits Underlying Tactile Sensation". Dr. Svoboda gave a spectacular talk and our Dean's and Faculty thoroughly enjoyed the time spent hosting this renowned scientist.
