Dear Colleagues,
The Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute invites applications for the Leon Levy Fellowship Program in Neuroscience supported by a grant from the Leon Levy Foundation (LLF). The overarching goal of the fellowship is to advance the field of neuroscience through the support of highly promising early career scientists or clinician-scientists (MD, PhD, or MD/PhD), who intend to develop a career in academic medicine. Letters of intent addressed to the Steering Committee need to be submitted by July 1, 2018. This round, applications from senior post-doctoral fellows and residents enrolled in programs with dedicated research years will also be considered. Applicants chosen from this pool will be invited to submit a full application, as outlined in the attached request for applications (RFA). The duration of the fellowship ($100,000/year) is for one or two years.
Letters of intent (1 page, Arial 11) should include the following components:
• Proposal title
• Name, title, and department of Applicant
• Name, title and department of Mentor(s)
• Proposed project description and relevance to the mission of the LLF (1-2 paragraphs)
• Career development plans and plans for obtaining extramural funding (1-2 paragraphs)
Attachments:
• Applicant NIH style Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Mentor(s)’s NIH style CV including funding
The letter of intent and CVs should be merged in a single PDF and emailed to Veronica Bohorquez (veb2012@med.cornell.edu).
